Coronavirus (Covid-19) update

Given the uncertainty caused by Coronavirus (Covid-19), we thought it might be helpful to let customers know about the steps we are taking at Doornbos to keep our staff safe and to ensure that business can continue as normal.

As for all of us, the wellbeing of our colleagues, families and customers, is our primary concern.

We have ensured all Doornbos staff members are aware of the risks of Coronavirus and how to mitigate against them.

We are continuing to follow government guidelines and we have spent time structuring a plan that focuses on the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers.

We have currently removed all sweet jars, to prevent the harboring of bacteria. We have issued all staff with vast amounts of pens, so when customers are signing for things and they don’t have a pen of their own, they can keep the pen, to help stop the spreading of bacteria. We are taking extra precautions when cleaning, especially surfaces and handles. We are conducting daily staff meetings to keep staff up to date with government guidelines and asking all staff with a persistent cough or fever to self isolate themselves.

As of 23/03/20, we have implemented split shift patterns. This will be for the foreseeable to try and help prevent cross contamination. There will always be someone in the office and an engineer onsite to help with your requirements.We ask you to bare with us whilst we navigate through this difficult time. If your calls or emails are not answered straight away, please be ensured they will be as soon as possible.

We ask all persons not to visit the office if they have had contact with a person who has visited a high risk area during the past 14 days, live with a family member who has visited a high risk area during the past 14 days or has been in contact with any individuals who have tested positive for Coronavirus during the past 14 days. With new Government advice we also ask that any person who has had a fever or persistent cough during the past 7 days does not attend the office. We are conscious that for many, regular channels of buying and selling have been disrupted by the pandemic, with trade shows and face to face meetings cancelled and supply chains interrupted. We are adding extra capacity to support increasing volumes and will do all we can to support your trading through this challenging period. Patterns of demand are fast changing at present, so we would advise if you are needing any parts or accessories to get your orders in quick, especially if these have to be sourced from outside of the UK.

Our office remains open and business is continuing as normal, but should recommendations take place for otherwise, steps have been put in place to ensure things can run as smooth as possible. If anything else should change within the business we will let you know.
