Charity Golf Day for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice

9 September 2019

On Friday 6th September 2019, Doornbos Equipment held their annual charity golf day at Romanby Golf & Country Club to raise money for our chosen charity, Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Middlesbrough. Zoe’s Place is a home from home for special babies and children.

This Charity Golf day is an event that Doornbos Equipment have supported and organised for over 5 years.

More than 20 teams took part in this years event, pledging £220 entry fee per team. With prizes for 1st and 2nd place.

Before the day had even started we had already raised around £4000!

With a shotgun start at 11am, teams set off round the course in glorious sunshine.

As well as completing the golf course, teams took part in; the 10 yard bucket challenge, nearest the pin, longest drive and a putting competition, all of which helped to raise more money for Zoe’s Place.

Half way through the day, the weather changed but that did not dampen the team spirit.

After completing the course, teams warmed up with a 2 course meal. They also had the chance to participate in a raffle full of fantastic prizes. Including a Golf Break in Scotland for 4 people and a Karcher pressure washer worth £1000!

Together we managed to raise a massive £9000 for Zoe’s Place!

Doornbos Equipment UK would like to thank all of the teams who entered our golf day, everyone who donated prizes towards the raffle and all volunteers who helped on the day.

Thank you to everyone for all generous donations and a good day to remember!
