Water Jetting Training

This training course is based on the Associations “Code of Practice for the use of High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment” as set out by the Water Jetting Association (WJA). The training course is essential for all personnel who are required to operate high/ultra high pressure water jetting equipment in the course of their daily work.

 

Course Aims

The Training course enables operators to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to safely operate high/ultra high pressure water jetting equipment in drain cleaning and surface cleaning environments. The course follows the guidance given in the Water Jetting Association Code of Practice.

Pre-Requisites

Certificated high pressure jetting equipment that is fit for purpose. Standard PPE including high visibility clothing, safety footwear, waterproofs, hearing and face protection are all required for this training course.

By the end of the course the delegates will be able to:

• Describe and undertake their maintenance responsibilities
• Determine the steps necessary to ensure safety of operation
• Identify potential diseases and accident risks
• Select the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
• Explain the methods of protecting equipment from frost

 

The following modules are also available;

  • DS – Drain & Sewer Cleaning,
  • SP – Surface Preparation,
  • TP – Tube & Pipe Cleaning,
  • HD – Hydro-demolition &
  • PW – Pressure Washing.

Please note, candidates must have a valid Safety Awareness card to complete any of the above modules. All module certificates remain valid whilst a Safety Awareness card remains in date.
